Obituary for Randy L. Percival

Randy L. Percival
EDDINGTON – Rand L. “Randy” Percival, 62, passed away October 3, 2017, at a Bangor hospital, after a five month battle with leukemia. He was born August 1, 1955, in Bangor, the son of Ernest L. and Patricia M. (Allen) Percival.

Randy graduated from Brewer High School. He married Carolyn Russell in 1976, and together shared 41 wonderful years of marriage. Early in his career, Randy was a gifted mechanic, before starting Randy Percival Trucking, which he successfully operated for over 30 years. Randy was respected for his loyalty, integrity, and being a man of his word. Family was important to Randy. He was especially proud of his daughter, Angela, and all of her accomplishments. His grandsons meant the world to him and they looked forward to spending time at the garage, in the log truck “Taz”, and at camp with Grampie.

Randy was predeceased by his father and his brother, Gary Percival. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Carolyn, are a daughter, Angela McLaughlin and husband, Brian; two grandsons, Cody and Aiden; his mother, Patricia Harshbarger; sisters, Annette Percival, Mary Brower and husband, Wayne, and Susanne Brown and husband, Jack; a brother, David Percival; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial reception will be held 2-4 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Family Reception Rooms of the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main Street, Brewer, where relatives and friends can share in conversation and light refreshments. Those who wish to remember Randy in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Lafayette Family Cancer Center, C/O EMHS Foundation, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931.
