Hampden – Renee L. Henneberry, 49, died unexpectedly July 13, 2018 in Hampden. She was born January 15, 1969, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Rosaire and Maxine (Laskey) Ouellette.

Renee graduated from Hampden Academy, Class of 1988. Following graduation, she began a family, and then pursued her ambitions of further education at Husson University in Bangor where she received her PhD in Psychology. She was employed by Kennebec Behavioral Health as a therapist and greatly enjoyed helping individuals and families. Renee was very involved with the community and took a special interest in training to be an opioid addiction counselor. She had strong Catholic beliefs and was heavily involved with the church, attending St. Gabriel’s services on a weekly basis. She had many close church friends that she loved very much, and loved being a part of their family.

Renee was known for her fabulous flair and her way to make the best of everything. She is remembered by her family as a strong woman, relentless like the tide.

Surviving relatives include Renee’s parents, Rosaire Ouellette of Bristol, CT and Maxine Ouellette of Hampden; daughters, Brittany Lynch and boyfriend, Robert Hunter of Hampden, Bethany Henneberry and boyfriend, Mitchell Silverstein of Glenburn, and Courtney Potter of Houlton; son, Ryan Henneberry of Winterport; five grandchildren, Autumn Lynch, Hailey Lynch and Brogan Hunter, Ashton Carron and Aayden Greenleaf; one sister, Karen Lee and her husband, Linden Lee Jr., niece, Lauren Lee Loiselle and nephew, Austen Lee, all of Hampden; birth mother, Sharon McCay of St. Cloud, FL; brother, Jerry McCay and one special aunt, Donna Merchant of Hampden; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
