Nick was a kind, sensitive, and smart deep thinker. His worries for others and the world at large were always present. I knew him for many, many years when he lived in Farmington where he had a large group of friends who cared about him. I'll never forget his keen interest in sustainability and the Mother Earth magazines he cherished .

Sending thoughts tonight of Class of 1973 at Jay High School and knowing Nick for several years, although I didn’t know him at St. Rose. He was a quiet genius and we often competed for the best grade in math or science. Our condelences to the family on his passing. Here is a picture from the fall of 1969 and our first year together at Jay High School. Nick is in the second row, fourth from the right. Guy Simoneau is a couple of seats over.

John, my friend...I think of you often as well as Angela and Antonio. Your family was truly special to me when I was growing up and still is to this very day. My thoughts are with you now at this solemn time. I hope to see you and Sunday soon, and hopefully under better circumstances. Take care...
