Obituary

Ida was born in Cherryfield, Maine to Albion W. & Bertha A. Grant on November 13, 1928. God called Ida home in the early morning hours on Sunday November 8, 2020.

She attended Cherryfield Academy, graduating in 1946 then she went on to further her education at Eastern Maine General Hospital (EMGH) School of Nursing, graduating in 1949, achieving her Registered Nursing status. She then, with much pride, worked the majority of her 39-year career at EMGH. On February 26, 1953 Ida married Lewis A. Willette and they shared 43 years together.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, her son Michael; brothers; Robert and Alton; brother-in-law, Edwin “Pud”; sister-in-laws; Janet and Gladys. Ida is survived by her sister Grace Irma, who she lived with for the past three years. Also surviving are her three children and their spouses; Patrick and Deborah, William and Charlotte, Gloria and Everett; four grandchildren, Bert, Bart, Brett and Brandi; four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Amelia, Mikayla and Joseph and their families; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
FOREVER in our hearts and ALWAYS on our minds. Know that you were loved and will be deeply missed. Peace Be With You. Sweet Ida, rest in peace until we meet again.

Funeral Prayers and Rite of Committal will be prayed 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the cemetery office, Ohio Street, at 9:45 AM.
